SlopeCheck
LiDAR slope measurement for iPhone and iPad. Developed and published by EngSiteTools.
SlopeCheck is a free, ad-free iOS utility. Open the app and it goes straight to a live camera view — point your device at the ground or a surface and it uses the camera and LiDAR sensor (via Apple's ARKit) to read the slope in front of you, shown as a ratio such as 1V:2H. Everything is processed on your device.
What you get
- Live slope measurement from the camera and LiDAR sensor
- Slope shown as a ratio (e.g. 1V:2H) for quick on-site checks
- No sign-in and no account — the app opens straight to the camera
- Free, with no ads and no analytics SDKs
- On-device processing — nothing is sent to EngSiteTools or third parties
Field estimates only. Slope readings are intended for planning and quick checks. Accuracy depends on device hardware, environmental conditions, lighting, surface characteristics, and how the device is held. SlopeCheck is not a substitute for certified surveying or engineering services.
Requirements
SlopeCheck requires an iPhone or iPad with a LiDAR sensor (for example, iPhone Pro and iPad Pro models). The camera permission is required for measurement.
Privacy
Slope measurement is processed entirely on your device and is not transmitted to EngSiteTools or third parties. The app has no accounts, no location access, no analytics, and no ads. For permissions, data handling, and contact details, see the dedicated policy below.
