Getting Started

How do I download TrenchCalc?

TrenchCalc is available on the Google Play Store for Android devices and the App Store for iOS devices. Search for "TrenchCalc" or visit our product page and click the download button.

Is there a free version available?

Yes! TrenchCalc offers a free tier with basic trench volume calculations. You can upgrade to Pro tiers for advanced features like cement stabilization and AI-powered tools.

What are the system requirements?

Operating System:
• Android: Android 9 (API 28+) or higher
• iOS: iOS 17.0 or higher

RAM:
• Minimum: 3GB
• Recommended: 4GB or more

Storage:
• Base app size: 200MB
• Recommended free storage: 2GB

LiDAR Scanner Requirements:
The Site Survey (LiDAR scanning) feature requires:
• iPhone 12 Pro or later, or
• iPad Pro 11" or 12.9" (3rd generation or later)

An internet connection is needed for premium features.

Features & Calculations

Can I use TrenchCalc for complex trench geometries?

Yes! TrenchCalc supports vertical walls, battered walls, and benched configurations. You can define multiple zones (foundation, bed, haunch, side fill, overlay) with different materials and culvert installations.

How do I save my projects?

To save your project, click on the gear icon on the top right corner of the app bar to open settings. In the top left corner, scroll down and either click "Quick Save" or click on "Manage Saves" and then click the "Save Current" button on the bottom right corner.

What's the difference between Free, Basic, and Premium tiers?

Each tier includes more features than the previous one. Free includes basic calculations, Basic adds cement stabilization and culverts, and Premium adds LiDAR volume scanning and additional advanced features. How do I manage my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). On Android, open the Play Store app, go to Menu > Subscriptions, find TrenchCalc, and manage your plan. On iOS, open the App Store app, tap your profile icon, go to Subscriptions, find TrenchCalc, and manage your plan. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all payment methods supported by the Google Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS), including credit/debit cards, PayPal, carrier billing, and store balance. Payment is processed securely by Google or Apple respectively.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled according to Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) policies. You can request a refund within the applicable window through the respective store. For issues beyond this window, contact our support team directly.

Troubleshooting

The app won't open or crashes on startup

Try these steps: 1) Force close the app and restart it, 2) Clear app cache in Settings > Apps > TrenchCalc > Storage, 3) Ensure you have the latest version from Play Store, 4) Restart your device. If issues persist, contact support.

My calculations seem incorrect

If you believe there's an error with the calculations, export your project and send it via the contact form for review.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

We love feedback! Use the contact form to report bugs or request features. Include your device model, app version, and screenshots if possible. You can also use the in-app feedback form.
